From Tunbridge Wells, England, John Hardy was introduced to the game of golf as a young man by his brother Derek. They both fell in love with the game and entered the profession, and, in time, PGA Membership. Hardy worked as the Director of Golf at The Alisal Guest Resort in Solvang, the Head Golf Professional at Big Canyon Country Club, the Head Golf Professional at Las Posas Country Club and Club Professional at Stockdale Country Club. In 2009, he and his brother Derek became the 50th pair in history of the PGA to become half century members. He was recognized as the Northern Chapter’s Teacher of the Year in 1992, and in 1997 was awarded Golf Professional of the Year for the SCPGA. In 2004, he was named Teacher of the Year for the Inland Empire Chapter.
