Jerry Anderson was elected to PGA membership in 1961 and for 56 years he truly made everyone look better, while flattering the Association itself. As a Member of the Metropolitan Chapter’s Board of Directors, Jerry served from 1980 to 1985 before taking the Section’s Board of Directors to new heights and becoming President in 1991. He was a three-time Tom Addis III PGA Professional Development Award winner, named twice as the Section’s Golf Professional of the Year and elected as an Honorary Life Member in 1996. He served as a the head golf professional at Chevy Chase before moving to Newport Beach Country Club, where he retired as the revered Head Golf Professional in 2006.
