Frank Beard, PGA

11-time PGA TOUR Winner

Born in Dallas, Texas, and later moving to Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Beard began his illustrious golfing career at the University of Florida and was recognized as an All-American in 1960 and 196l and was later inducted into the Florida Athletic Hall of Fame and the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame.

Mr. Beard turned professional in 1962 and became a PGA member in 1982. He won eleven events on the PGA Tour and one event on the then Champions Tour and was the leading money winner on the PGA Tour in 1969. He was also in three playoffs on Tour and unfortunately lost all three.

Notably, Frank was a member of two victorious Ryder Cup teams, in 1969 and 1971. He also authored a best-selling book, PRO, an inside look of his 1969 year on the Tour and following his retirement from the Tour, he worked as a golf commentator on ESPN.
